Courts -- A Butler County man awaits trial in Mason Municipal Court on charges accusing him of luring two Kings Junior High School girls he met through an Internet chat room to his home in December. Paul Lanier, 52, of Fairfield Township, is to be tried Feb. 25 on two counts of criminal child enticement, authorities said.
If convicted, he faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine on each charge.
Lanier is accused of persuading the girls, both 13, during online discussions to meet him Nov. 29.
Telling their parents they were walking to breakfast at a nearby restaurant, the girls met Lanier and rode with him to his home, where he photographed them, according to documents filed Thursday in Warren County Common Pleas Court.
